INTEGRATIVE HEALING
Krista Augius, Doctor of Physiotherapy, is a holistic healer highly trained in western, eastern and native methods of healing. Her scientific knowledge of the physical body effectively identifies sources of pain, impairment, structural dysfunction and imbalance. Her intention is to help rehabilitate people with a focus on integration of the emotional, physical and spiritual bodies.
Through her extensive international travel she has explored and studied worldly and cultural methods of healing and art in Asia, India, Northern Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Mexico and South America and integrates holistic and energetic healing with her doctoral knowledge.
She has taught and mentored students in the fields of Neurologic and Orthopedic rehabilitation from a wide variety of Universities, nationally and internationally to instill a strong concept of progressive integrative health. Her unique and personal approach combines physiotherapy, Craniosacral therapy, Yoga, Pilates, REIKI, use of Ayurvedic oils, meditation, visualization with art and breathing techniques that create a comprehensive dimension to manifest wellness.
Dr. Augius’ personal experience with ACL reconstruction has given her insight into the rehabilitation process and its affect on other parts of the body. She has worked closely with other orthopaedic surgeons to understand surgical procedures, graft healing and functional restoration for the comprehensive healing process.
